Jessica L. Brown, nationally known as The College Gurl®, is an award-winning speaker, author, entrepreneur, media personality, and nationally recognized education advocate whose work has transformed the way students, families, and organizations think about preparation, opportunity, and success. Known by many as the Financial Aid Fairy Godmother, Jessica has dedicated her career to helping people navigate the systems, strategies, and opportunities that shape educational, professional, and financial outcomes. Her expertise spans college access, financial aid, career readiness, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and student success — making her one of the most trusted voices in the space. A proud graduate of Howard University and Strayer University, Jessica’s personal and professional journey is rooted in lived experience. She understands firsthand what it means to pursue opportunity without insider access, and she has built her life’s work around making sure others do not have to navigate those systems alone. That lived experience has fueled a powerful platform centered on one message: preparation creates access, and access changes lives.
